Challenge

Using multiple internal portals for their employees and bank administrators, our client was facing mounting technical debt, maintenance costs, and a scattered digital ecosystem that made navigation and the execution of information management processes difficult. So, the company decided to decommission their legacy solution and to migrate to a new, unified B2B portal. The new solution needed to replace the old one seamlessly, without disrupting business as usual.

Solution

Our specialists worked side by side with the client’s internal squads to develop the new solution quickly and efficiently. Product owners from Atruvia defined the functional and non functional requirements for the new solution. Both organisations worked closely to refine the concepts, acceptance criteria and development cycles based on real user needs. This collaborative approach was crucial in developing a modern platform that preserves all needed functionalities and connects them seamlessly into the Atruvia B2B portal solution “Atruvia Hub” to provide a single interface, on base of a modern infrastructure for future scalability.

Impact

The collaboration ensured business continuity without disruptions or additional maintenance costs by migrating all the predefined features on time to replace the old system. The primary focus was on Functions like a dedicated chatbot- and portal-wide search-user interface, Apps and administrative functions for creating information such as news and release notes. . From the company’s clients and employees perspective, there was no change as the service uptime was not affected. The collaboration on the new solution helped our client strengthen their position as a leading IT service provider in the Financial Services Industry by delivering improved UX, faster information access., and greater scalability.

Project Overview

With tight deadlines enforced by the outdated B2B portals' decommissioning, our client needed an implementation partner who could provide ongoing concept, development, testing and management capabilities to extend the capabilities of existing teams through tailored engineering. Our team initially started small and gradually scaled to meet delivery demands. This flexibility allowed us to respond quickly to changing priorities and workload peaks. Working closely with the client’s stakeholders, our team adopted an agile approach and collaborated on refining the backlog, ensuring that the most critical features were delivered first as prioritized by our client’s product owners.

Throughout the engagement, Accesa took responsibility for implementation of independent modules within the organisation's infrastructure, developing the functionality integrated in the client’s release pipelines to enable on-demand deployments.

With our support in implementing specific modules in accordance with the client's specifications, the client's teams were enabled to focus on core issues.

This autonomy accelerated delivery while maintaining alignment with the client’s architecture standards, but our mixed teams also worked together on developing modules whenever needed.

The client’s existing internal digital ecosystem used many tools and features to keep employees productive and well-informed. As such, while developing the new solution, each module built and delivered tied into the client’s internal communication, collaboration, and operational efficiency. The features delivered include news creation, release notes management, product and topic mappings, and visibility systems. In parallel, the team continuously improved existing features, transforming reported issues into enhanced user experiences.

In spite of the tight timeline and a complex technical landscape, our mindset and close collaboration between teams ensured steady, reliable progress, resulting in a future-ready custom solution. It seamlessly connects existing infrastructure with new modules in the Atruvia Hub software environment and increases overall operational efficiency at every touchpoint so that Atruvia offers a more effective user experience and level of scalability that the previous platform could not provide.

Results

The new portal provides a scalable foundation for ongoing innovation, reinforcing the client’s leadership within the German Cooperative Financial Group and the wider Banking IT landscape and better positioning them to support future customer needs and business growth.

User experience was a point of focus during development, identified as a way to increase efficiency by offering a more intuitive, improved navigation, and quicker access to relevant information, helping employees access the services and data they need more effectively. Accesa seamlessly integrated their modules into the client’s scalable information management platform.

Development efficiency improved significantly through parallel delivery streams and automated release pipelines, enabling faster overall time-to-market for new features. Our specialists’ ability to stay flexible and seamlessly integrate into the development process is the cornerstone of our approach to ensuring valuable business outcomes and meeting real user needs while collaborating to develop the new scalable and user-friendly information management system.
