One of our clients operates prominently in the financial sector, where we enhance operations across their extensive network of 150,000 workstations and support a workforce of 4,500 employees. Our IT solutions ensure streamlined processes and heightened security, enabling them to maintain leadership in financial technology.
The project is centered around an internal application used by bank employees in the back office to proactively contact customers as part of targeted campaigns. These outreach efforts are designed to share personalized, timely, and relevant information with clients,whether it's about new financial products, account updates, or regulatory changes. This initiative falls under a larger strategic area focused on enhancing both employee and customer experience.
Responsibilities
Design scalable solutions: Architect, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications and microservices with a focus on performance and reliability.
Deliver high-quality code: Implement Spring Boot applications following best practices in clean code, testing, and performance optimization.
Drive modern deployment practices: Collaborate with DevOps to containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes, and integrate CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins.
Leverage event-driven architecture: Use Kafka to build robust, asynchronous systems that support scalability and decoupled services.
Optimize data interactions: Design and maintain efficient Oracle database integrations that ensure data integrity and system responsiveness.
Contribute to strong engineering standards: Engage in architectural discussions, perform code reviews, and contribute to high engineering standards.
Mentor and grow the team: Provide guidance to junior developers and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
5+ years of experience in backend software development using Java 8 or above.
Strong proficiency with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful microservices.
Solid understanding of Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for automated build and deployment.
Working knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
Proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries and working with databases.
Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, message-driven systems, and distributed systems.
Familiarity with Git and Agile development practices.
Nice to have:
Experience in performance tuning and monitoring Java applications in production.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace.
Knowledge of security best practices in backend development.
Cloud platform experience is a plus.
