Modern Workplace Engineer (with German)
We are looking for a Modern Workplace Engineer with a passion for technology and innovative, cutting-edge solutions for our customers. For this role you should enjoy solving problems, have excellent customer service skills, and display a strong initiative. You must have current knowledge and ability to design, deploy, and manage a Microsoft environment. In the long run, based on your personal motivation, you can also strengthen your skills and aim for a career as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
About the team

Your peers will be systems and network engineers working to make conferencing platforms more capable, scalable, reliable and efficient.
About the projects
You will mainly work for an international retail client, with over 60.000 employees, supporting them with their workplace investments. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to get a holistic view in the development and debugging of the deployment tool.
Develop solutions in highly complex environments involving global sites
Provisioning and maintenance of Windows desktop images
First and third-party patching of Windows desktops and servers
Solving problems with advanced Windows desktop issues
Working with corporate IT and Security teams to ensure compliance
Participate in requirements gathering sessions
Deployment of applications via SCCM, Manage Soft Deployment Manager or Empirum
Promote System Management within the community
Travel on-site to the customer for critical project work (20%)
Handle multiple projects, working in teams or individually
Match your skills:
Sound understanding of Active Directory, Exchange, File and Print services, and DNS.
Good experience with Windows Server (2012R2 & 2016)
Experience with Windows desktop Operating Systems including Windows 7/8.1/10
Strong analytical, verbal and written communications skills
Working knowledge of computer hardware
English and German (B1) language skills are a must
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment and execute in stressful situations
Knowledge of a deployment tool (SCCM, Empirum, Deployment Manager)
