The client is one of the market’s leaders in providing one stop shop in automotive industry that plans and implements turnkey paint shops and final assembly systems and machine and robot technology. The client has an MES system which has to keep its market competitiveness. The current application is being extended with new functionalities and also undergoes a process of modernization from a look & feel perspective.
We are looking for a Java Developer that can help by understanding the client needs and by creating a sustainable technical solution and act as a team leader for the other colleagues. You will be working in one of the most strategic fields in the digitalization process: manufacturing on a long-term project. You will learn to work in a structured environment, in a large project with cross team collaboration.
The project is in the manufacturing area. It is an MES (manufacturing execution system) that helps in all activities that take place within a plant. MES provides information that helps manufacturing decision makers understand how current conditions on the plant floor can be optimized to improve production output. MES works in real time to enable the control of multiple elements of the production process. It tracks and helps configuring the production line for end customers. It increases the plant’s efficiency and enable detailed insight into production processes and consumption data at any time. Also, the product allows for the economic management and optimization of a production process.Because every plant is different the product must adapted and extended for each customer and also try to build a very generic solution.
We work in Agile SCRUM with 2 weeks sprints and the team consists of 6 developers. We have a QA colleague for manual and automated tests, a BA that clarifies requirements with the PO on the client team and a Scrum Master. On demand we have a UI/UX expert helping with the more complex UI parts of the application. We have team lunch every other week and regular team outings.
