The main purpose of the role is to:
Help employees assess their strengths, interests, values, and personal preferences to gain a clear understanding of themselves and their career goals
Collaborate with employees to establish career goals based on their aspirations and capabilities, within Accesa
Help crafting effective individual development plans to support reaching the established goals
Ongoing support in helping employees stay motivated and focused on their established plan
We believe that true growth happens when people take charge of their development which is why the primary method used in this regard is coaching. Additional specific career counselling instruments will be utilized in the process, according to individual contexts and needs.
At times, the plans can be hindered by different type of unplanned work challenges (project/operational team dynamics, project changes, interpersonal situations, etc.) that might be difficult to solve independently. By applying coaching and, exceptionally, consultancy, the Career Coach empowers people to remove obstacles or takes other necessary action to that aim.
The career coach drives the Individual Career Plan by balancing individual aims with business needs.
guides employees in discovering next career step (development in current role or new role)
facilitates skills assessment
guides employee in setting the career development objectives & associated development plan
monitors progress regularly
motivates employees to stay on track with their development plans
mediates/takes action to support employee to take next career step when the employee objectively needs support
recognizes achievement and encourages with setting up new goals
when requested, contributes to defining career coaching methodologies, processes, assets etc.
provides improvement feedback and/or solutions for any element of the
conducts the exit interview
can have responsibilities in other people processes or practices linked to the career development and career coaching (e.g., Onboarding)
investigates individual interpersonal challenges and takes action to understand and solve the situation when it is beyond the ability and authority of the employee.
Coaching certification is a must
Experienced in coaching, preferably also career coaching
Ability to motivate and influence
General understanding of workforce management
Knowledge of the different learning methods and styles
Ability to collaborate with a broad range of personalities and individual contexts
Advanced written and spoken English
